Splitting of moon in the light of Quran and science

Spilliting of moon is a miracle that is discussed in quran in surah al-qamar verses 54:1-2. This miracle happened before 1400 years ago when our beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad S.A.W.W preached islam and people of Arab denied his teachings than Allah gave him powers to split the moon by his index finger and he did so. That day the moon split into two pieces and that was proven by astronomers who sees the crack in the middle of the moon.
